Eclipse

I spent a few minutes yesterday working on adding some code snippets to my personal collection as I refactored a bunch of code. And it got me to thinking about how to be more efficient while using my editor.

So, after I got finished bashing Eclipse and Aptana for eating my Ruby files, I got around to finally getting the upgrade done. And the new Aptana RadRails suite is pretty good.

Just as the huge Eclipse love-in was getting started around here ...

I just discovered the best feature ever...

When using Eclipse with Subclipse you have the option to role back code for every save that you've made locally.

This might not sound like much but I've been burnt several time in visual studio where I think I'm deleting the correct file and click OK to the "This file will be permanently destroyed" message.

As Jamie said, we're doing some Python development in Eclipse, so I cooked up a quick Vibrant Ink-ish color scheme for PyDev. Here is the PyDev preference file for Eclipse.
