When loading data into the

When loading data into the tables and subsequent PointPlot pp = new PointPlot(); - is there a way to load a point "label" , i.e. DATE, VALUE, DESCRIPTION

I need to specialise each point of the series - any ideas?

I'm not sure whether this already exist - but assigning different colours to various markers depending on their value is proving a deal breaker...

Is there a simple method I'm missing? i.e. plotSurface.Plot(x,y,label);

Cheers,

Dean

Take a look at the demo

Take a look at the demo application that comes with NPlot (look in the demo folder). An example of all the plotting types are shown.

Funny. Why these charts

Funny. Why these charts aren't built in NPlot itself?

NPlot doesn't do pie

NPlot doesn't do pie charts... there, i knew there was a reason ;-)

And besides, writing throw-away code to create a couple charts that will have to be saved as an image to be displayed in a Drupal based blog seems a little inefficient... but if you are volunteering I'll gladly host your results.

I'd conclude that you've got

I'd conclude that you've got a good feel on what the community needs. Although that's realy no surprise to me.

So what would you conclude

So what would you conclude from this, to me the results don't show a specific focus point. Mixed results really.

Indeed, very mixed

Indeed, very mixed results.

A couple of things do stand out. The first is that 58% of respondents are targeting .Net 2.0 yet we still support version 1.1. I think that the 1.1 support will likely be dropped soon.

73% are using NPlot in winform apps... This does not surprise me but its nice to have some data to back this up.

The rest of the results are a mix bag. This is ok though, it could have been that 95% of the people waiting for WPF support and we're spinning our wheels implementing 3d plotting.

One thing from reading all the comments and feedback that came in is that more documentation and samples is needed!

I'm going to write a quick application note (likely a blog post) for items that I add/fix from now on.

The main purpose of this survey was to get a feeling of what the community wanted. By the look at the results, if we address any of the areas in the survey, we'll make a good chunk of people happy.
