Here at Scimatic, we follow both Greg Wilson and Cameron Neylon on Twitter, so it was cool to see the two of them talking about the directions of Open Science in a semi-public forum. The tweet that caught my eye was
Updating Debian
Now that we have the TS7200 booting Debian linux from the compact flash we can install the development tools that we need.
The first step is to update debian using the apt-get functionality:
apt-get update
To boot from the compact flash card of the TS-7200 the following steps were executed:
Partition the compact flash card
Put the Flash card in the USB reader and insert it into a linux desktop PC.
